No historical event has shaped the character of the town of Rothenburg like the story of the Master Draught. Every year at Whitsun, the costumes and carriages, wagons and weapons of the Thirty Years' War are once again to be seen on the streets of Rothenburg's old town, when the event is reenacted with a huge level of commitment and an incredible eye for details. The high point comes on Whit Sunday with a military parade led by the Town Council and the children of the town.
